MARION, SC RUBY LANE CAPPS

Ruby Lane Capps, 88, died Sunday, May 27, 2012 at home after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday May 30, at Marion Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Richardson Funeral Home of Marion.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 29, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Capps was born in Marion, a daughter of the late Henry Roland Lane and Tebie Byrd Lane. She is also predeceased by her husband, Fitzhugh Capps. She was retired from retail, and was a member of Marion Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Gleaner’s Sunday School class.

Surviving are her sons, Bo Capps and his wife, Becky, of Marion, Gary Capps and his wife, Norma Jean, of Marion; daughter, Jan Williamson of Nichols; a sister, Mabel Lane Gasque; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
